This programme is for managers with responsibility for coaching and mentoring as part of their day-to-day role, or learners planning to move into a management or development role and those wishing to start a career as a freelance coach or mentor

Yes, as long as you complete the programme and pass all the assignments, you will be a coach / mentor with a formal qualification (either a Level 5 Certificate or Diploma). Most people who want to coach professionally or have a coaching business opt for the Diploma level qualification.
You have a genuine interest in coaching and mentoring others; you have the time and self-discipline to commit to the self-study required for assignments and you like to have a formal qualification at the end of a training programme. More detail on time and commitment can be found in our downloadable course brochures.
There are no formal qualifications required to join this programme but it is useful if you have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of coaching and mentoring and are able to find opportunities to apply the learnings in the workplace.
THE TRAINING

We are only currently offering Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Certificate and Diploma qualifications. However, we may open up more qualifications in the future for the Level 3 and 5 Leadership and Management and Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring in due course and any developments will be published on this website.
Certificate is worth 16 credits which can then be used as ‘recognition of prior learning’ to put towards the 38 credits required to upgrade to the Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Diploma.

Yes, you can attend the programme without doing the assignments, however this means you will not have a formal qualification at the end of the programme. Please contact us to discuss this option further.
The workshops and group / 1-2-1 sessions are highly interactive, using facilitated discussion, presentations, exercises, coaching practice and feedback. The workshops promote reflection and improvement and encourage delegates to find opportunities to apply the learning in the workplace.
Group sizes may vary but we will have a maximum of 12 people in any training group with 1 trainer.
All workshop attendance and assignments are mandatory to achieve the qualification. If there are exceptional circumstances meaning you cannot attend a live training session, we will work with you to find a way of catching up.
More detail on this is included in our downloadable course brochures found here. Typically a certificate would take 6 months and a Diploma 12 months. The main group training sessions with Diadem will be done within 5 months for Certificate and within 8 months for Diploma. In order to pass the qualification you will need to have completed and passed all assignments including the coaching practice hours (18 hours for Certificate and 54 hours for Diploma).

The whole training programme will be run in a modular way virtually via Zoom platform until further notice. Typically, virtual sessions will be a maximum of 2 hours long.
INVESTMENT
The course fee is fully inclusive and covers all delivery of training sessions, supervision and coaching, printed / electronic course materials, ILM course registration fees, assignment marking and feedback. The only additional costs you could incur is if any of your assignments needs to be resubmitted and remarked. Re-marking costs vary from £35 to £100 per assignment depending on the number of credits against that particular assignment.
No, this qualification can’t be funding through the levy as Diadem are not on the RoATP (Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers). We will continue to review our position on this and publish any changes on this website.
We do not normally offer payment plans. However, if you are self-funding and would struggle in make full payment upfront please contact us to discuss your individual circumstances
